European Association for Palliative Care
The European Association for Palliative Care (EAPC) was established
to promote palliative care in Europe and to act as a focus for
all of those who work, or have an interest, in the field of palliative
care.
It is the goal of the EAPC to represent all healthcare professionals
and volunteers working in palliative care across Europe and to
include as many members as possible in the daily life of the
association.
The EAPC was created by 42 founding members from nine European
countries in 1988. It has grown rapidly since its foundation
and in 2005 consists of 32 collective member associations from
21 different
countries representing about 50,000 people.
