in this journal. Please only submit review articles.
Authors must supply their full name, job title and contact details.
Articles should be submitted on a computer disk or by email (Mac
or PC: please save as Rich Text format) as well as a hard copy.

or request amendments. The editorial staff reserve the right to
amend material during production in accord with house style and
the demands of space, layout, and so on.
All material submitted should be in English. We
regret that it is not possible to accept material submitted in other

English-language proofs are sent to the author designated, so that
the edited material can be reviewed before publication. Corrections

The brief
The readership
Articles should be written with the journals general readership
in mind. Where necessary, abstruse terms, phrases and jargon should
be explained for the non-specialist reader.
How much to write?
Articles average three printed pages in length. A convenient guide
to wordage (including references) is as follows:
2pp 1,100 words
3pp 1,800 words.
Articles should not exceed 2,000 words
The inclusion of illustrations/tables is encouraged and allowance
should be made for them by reducing the wordage accordingly
(1/2 page illustration = 400 words).
Style and content
Article structure
Review papers and discursive features should be styled according to content and do not have to fit any rigid format. The use
of subheads is encouraged to promote readability.
Tables and illustrations
As far as possible, articles should be suitably illustrated. Photographic
illustrations will be returned after publication. However, all such
materials are submitted at the owners risk; the Publisher
accepts no liability for loss or damage while in possession of the
material.
References
Authors should verify references against the original documents.
The Vancouver style is used.
Other requirements
Original textual matter quoted from other authors must have formal
citation and be appropriately referenced. Any statements that might
be construed as being potentially defamatory must be avoided. Where appropriate, please obtain informed consent when submitting articles that include patient information.
